ABOUT LAWPOD

Dana Lerner, Stacy Zosky and Nancy Stitt are lawyers turned  recruiters and talent consultants with a combined 60+ years experience in the legal community. LAWPOD was created from their desire to bring easily accessible, affordable and relevant content to the Canadian legal community. Judy Petersiel is an Interior Designer who brings her creativity and organizational skills to LAWPOD.

Ann Lang, national award-winning CBC producer, broadcaster and reporter brings her passion for producing podcasts and other audio projects to create compelling episodes.

STACY ZOSKY

Stacy is co-founder of Stitt + Zosky, legal search and consulting, and is one of the creators of LAWPOD. 

She has a wealth of experience in legal talent management. Stacy supports lawyers in their professional growth, and finds firms/companies top talent. She is a professional coach who is driven to help lawyers achieve their professional and personal goals. 

Stacy was the head of lateral recruitment and associates at Goodmans LLP and was an active member of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and LGBTQ group.  She designed and delivered unconscious bias training for mentors and recruitment teams, and spearheaded a women’s mentor circle program. Stacy was also on various working groups for the LSO’s Justicia Project, an initiative to support the retention and advancement of women lawyers in private practice. 

 

Stacy is passionate about moving the dial forward on Diversity and Inclusion in the profession. She is thrilled to be a host of LAWPOD.

BRIAN SHILLER

Brian is a founding partner and leads the firm’s civil litigation practice at Ruby Shiller Enenajor DiGiuseppe in Toronto.  

He has considerable experience in media and regulatory law, including broadcast and internet libel. He brings his skills and passion to everything he does, including litigating animal welfare cases, acting for Canadians who have been wronged by government actors and the police, and chairing the Board of Directors of Reconnect Community Health Services – a mental health, addiction and seniors support services organization.  
 

Brian is excited to bring his 25+ years of experience to his LAWPOD interviews, and share his curiosity (and entertaining manner) with our LAWPOD listeners.

MATT LERNER

Matt is a partner at Lenczner Slaght where he litigates and arbitrates complex commercial matters such as shareholder and partnership disputes, class actions on behalf of directors and boards, civil fraud claims, real estate disputes, employment, technology, and insolvency matters.

 

He also has significant expertise in defending physicians on malpractice and regulatory matters. He is "consistently recommended” in the Canadian Lexpert Directory for his work in Corporate Litigation, Professional Liability and Medical Negligence.

 

He enjoys returning to his hometown of London, Ontario to chair the Lenczner Slaght Moot in Legal Ethics and Professionalism at Western Law, and is finding a new passion in his side gig of being a host of LAWPOD, bringing compelling content from legal thought leaders to our listeners.
